I'll try to get some more photos with a real camera. The iphone 6 camera is so garbage if you zoom in even a little.
This specific female belongs to Mike T, but it represents all of the rio colubre females that came in and this shot turned out well.
She's a big momma. I'll have to get some photos of my females too. They're all really nice and big! Hard to tell you 'how big' she is.. you can see my hand through the cup in the pic for a bit of reference..
I'll be posting a few pics soon. I can't stop smiling. They are vocal and adjusting well. Thank you Eric for all the work you had to do. It was a long wait, but definitely worth the wait !!!!
The second frog does it actually have purple in it or that was the way the picture took? What kind is the second frog?
Both are rio colubre - the purple comes from one of my lights having a 4500k plant light. Need to swap that out with a 6500k! They're blue.. the first picture represents their colour better.
Do they get a brighter more intense blue once they adjust? They look great. So tiny. Would of been neat with a bit of purple lol
I think they should, but not too much brighter. Individuals vary too of course. Here is a photo I was sent with good lighting. This frog is in my group, so I'd say they are definitely a little dark due to shipping stress. I'm going to leave them alone for a week and let them settle in. Will take some slr photos after that!
I'm glad to see these pics coming in. Could you guys state what the frogs are too? They all look gorgeous!
The colours are amazing. Loving the colour. Our new frogs are not so orange, the red is coming out a bit more. The chirping is great, non stop throughout the day. They get the other Viv chirping too. Music to my ears.
