Hey guys I seem to have left my cultures for too long and have gotten some mites. I tossed the offending cultures and re sprayed my paper towel with mite spray. Do I need to toss them all, clean and start new ones or will I be able to get rid of them?

Place your new cultures in a new area. This leaving the old area no where for the mites to go. This also depends on your media and how your using. Some wheats and oats and or potato are prone for mites. A quick microwave of your media will also help kill them off. It all depends where they came from.
getting rid of them is not easy. Clean your old area well. move new ones and put back in a few weeks. This normally helps mites to not return.
